Art Party

Preparations for the 'Art Party' are gathering momentum.

As I wrote on my website 
ropo sculpture in January, setting out what the new year will bring:
  

'2017/16 - Continuing to find interesting paths of collaboration and widening my circle of sharing (see 2015 below) with a project involving 3 sculptors working together over 4 seasons towards a show due to take place over 2 days in one inspiring setting in late April 2017.'

So, work has continued in this early 2017, with weekly get-togethers with my two fellow-sculptors, Ros and Caroline, to discuss progress on the various things we're working on, plan the actual showing event, i.e. the Art Party, and generally give each other support - both practical and moral - and share ideas and sources of inspiration.

We have now begun to send out the invitations; next step, from an organisational perspective, is drafting a couple of brief texts setting out what we're about, both in terms of the show and our own work.
I aim to post regular progress updates from now on, but there are times when the art work (and life) takes over and a blog posting just isn't on the cards. In the meantime, here is an image of the invitation:
